Personal Project

This is a personal project very near and dear to my heart. It is a book I created for my father that showcases his journal entries during his time in the Vietnam War. Utilizing a journal look and feel, military fonts (as well as my father's own handwriting) and rough textures are carried throughout the design and also includes small details like cross-hair page numbers and realistic elements, such as tape, that “adhere” the photos onto the pages. The cover has a double-exposure effect, compositing the silhouette of his official Marine photo with other images and landscapes from the region and era.
