SUMMER OF REV
Before the country shut down due to a pandemic, Summer of Rev was in full swing–a social media summer concert and event series, giving social followers the opportunity to win exclusive tickets to various local events and music festivals around the city. Branded using vibrant colors on a dark navy tone, the graphics feature a brand logo that nods to the popular “Miami Vice” design style and a fun, geometric border to house the custom icons and social graphics. The largest event Rev partnered with was Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash–a hip-hop music festival featuring performances by up-and-coming rap artists. Revolution Cannabis sponsored the Artists’ Lounge where the performers hung out in between sets with their entourage to play a game of ping pong, take pics/boomerangs with our photobooth to share on social or chill on the comfy couches with accent pillows–all branded Summer of Rev. Towels, coozies, hats and t-shirts were among the swag given away to artists and concert-goers alike to keep them cool from the heat and add more brand recognition throughout the event. Every other week, social followers had a chance to win tickets to different local, live events;
from Lollapalooza and Snoop Dogg tickets to see Hamilton on Broadway via a rap-off.
Creative contests were held, based on the prize, to gain traction and challenge
people to compete for the winnings.
