#freetheplant is a mission to reform cannabis laws in Illinois, focusing on Home Grow, Criminal Justice Reform, Expongement and Equal Opportunity. An online petition was formed to gain signatures and spread the word about
“freeing the (cannabis) plant”. T-shirts, lighters, buttons and stickers featuring a “home grow” design and the hashtag moniker were distributed at local events, including industry expos and networking affairs.
